After damaging rain and wind, North Korea is about to face yet another typhoon

Typhoon No. 9 Maysak is set to hit North Korea’s eastern region on Thursday, just days after Typhoon Bavi’s departure

Just days after Typhoon Bavi hit North Korea, DPRK state TV repeatedly aired special weather segments warning its domestic audience of yet another threat on Wednesday — “Typhoon No. 9 Maysak,” which is set to hit the southeastern region of the country on Thursday morning.

According to Korean Central Television (KCTV), the typhoon is expected to bring heavy rain, while Typhoon Bavi was largely characterized by strong winds.
