Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, was not seen at a Political Bureau (Politburo) meeting in Pyongyang on Aug. 13, according to footage broadcasted on Korean Central Television (KCTV) around 15:15 KST on Friday.
Kim is expected to attend these meetings, as she holds the title of "alternate member" of the Politburo after being elected to the position in April. State media reported that "members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee (CC)" attended the Aug. 13 meeting, as well as other officials under the CC and the Cabinet.
