US vice presidential runner Kamala Harris may support DPRK sanctions relief

Harris has made previous comments supporting partial sanctions relief in future US-North Korea negotiations

U.S. Senator Kamala Harris is officially running for vice president on Democratic Party frontrunner Joe Biden’s ticket after weeks of speculation, according to a series of announcements made by both candidates on Aug. 12.

If elected, her appointment could mark a meaningful change to the future of U.S.-North Korea policy — Harris previously spoke up in favor of the United States partially lifting sanctions against the DPRK.
