North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and the country’s top officials convened another series of meetings on Aug. 25, reportedly discussing preparations for a typhoon set to make landfall this week. Kim also reportedly complained that the emergency system to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is still lacking.

The meetings were called the 17th enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau (Politburo) and the 5th meeting of the Executive Policy Council, according to a report by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Aug. 26.

On Monday, state TV began sounding the alarm
