COVID-19 aid from Switzerland arrived in North Korea mid-June: FDFA

Disinfection kits exempted from UN sanctions have been delivered to North Korean hospitals, crossing Sino-DPRK border

Disinfection kits to support Pyongyang's COVID-19 prevention efforts were delivered across the Sino-North Korea border in mid-June, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) said on Thursday.

The items were delivered by road from Dandong, China to Sinuiju, North Korea, and have already reached hospitals in eight provinces as well as the capital city of Pyongyang, according to an email sent by the FDFA to NK News. The items went through a quarantine period upon arrival.
