North Korea appears to have promoted three top officials to full members of its powerful Politburo, photos suggested this week.
Images of last weekend’s enlarged Politburo (PB) of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) meeting showed Kim Hyong Jun, Ho Chol Man, and Ri Ho Rim holding their hands up to vote — suggesting the three have risen in the political hierarchy.
All three were previously elected as alternate members of the Political Bureau amid a major political reshuffle at the December party plenum last year.
