Kim Jong Un leads artillery fire competition by North Korean military: KCNA

Exercise aimed at ensuring combat readiness "under the simulated conditions of an actual war," state media says

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Thursday oversaw the country's fourth round of artillery drills in two weeks, state media reported Friday, in a round of exercises intended to ensure combat readiness "under the simulated conditions of an actual war."

The event was billed as an “artillery fire competition between the artillery units under the Korean People's Army (KPA) Corps 7 and Corps 9” by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) Friday morning.
