An envoy for foreign cooperation from the top Chinese law enforcement agency paid a visit to North Korea this week, according to the PRC embassy in Pyongyang.

The embassy reported on Thursday that a delegation led by Liao Jinrong, director-general of the International Cooperation Department of China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS), met with PRC Ambassador Li Jinjun on Monday. 

Neither North Korean or Chinese state media have yet to report on the visit, though the embassy said Liao and the ambassador “held working exchanges” in their talks.
