Kim Jong Un visits frontline units, orders military to step-up “war-like” drills

Korean People's Army must be prepared for "regular mobilization," DPRK leader says

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un over the weekend visited two frontline units of the Korean People's Army (KPA), state media reported Monday, ordering the country's armed forces to ensure full preparedness by conducting "real war-like drill" at a "higher degree of intensity."

In visits covered in detail by Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) and carried on the first and second pages of ruling party daily the Rodong Sinmun, the DPRK leader was reported to have visited the Changrin Islet unit on the country's western front and a women's company under KPA Unit 5492 in the southwest.
