The U.S. Ambassador to South Korea expressed frustration over the lack of a deal at this month’s nuclear negotiations in Stockholm, and implied that the blame for the latest stalemate may lie with the DPRK, in an interview with the South Korean newspaper Dong-A Ilbo published on Monday.
The comments, made by Ambassador Harry Harris on Friday at the State Department in Washington, came one week after senior diplomats from Washington and Pyongyang met in Sweden to discuss sanctions relief and denuclearization but left without a deal — or a plan to meet again.
