North Korea wants talks with South over Mount Kumgang facilities removal: MOU

Pyongyang reportedly not seeking in-person meetings, however

The South Korean government received a notice Friday from North Korea requesting discussions on the matter of removing ROK-owned facilities from the Mt Kumgang tourist resort, a Ministry of Unification (MOU) spokesperson confirmed to NK News.

The request follows DPRK leader Kim Jong Un's reported remarks on Wednesday ordering the demolition of South Korean-built hotels and resorts there, pending consultations with Seoul.
