Inter-Korean World Cup qualifier to be held as planned in Pyongyang

Fixture set to take place on October 15

A much anticipated inter-Korean FIFA World Cup qualifier match will go ahead "as planned" in Pyongyang, an informed source confirmed to NK News on Tuesday, despite recent North Korean silence on the issue having led to concerns about the viability of the fixture.

Scheduled to take place on October 15 at the Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang, South Korea's Korea Football Association (KFA) indicated on Tuesday evening that it had a meeting with its North Korean counterparts and the Asian Football Confederation, the source said.
