Biegun says he won’t take ambassador job, is focused on North Korea talks

U.S. yet to hear from DPRK counterparts, Special Representative says

U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun on Wednesday said he would not be considering the job of U.S. ambassador to Russia, saying he will instead remain focused on securing denuclearization talks with the DPRK.

Reports earlier in the month suggested that Biegun was under consideration for the position of U.S. ambassador to Russia, set to be vacant in November following the recent resignation of incumbent Jon Huntsman Jr.
