Pyongyang’s Kaeson metro station located next to the city’s iconic Arch of Triumph is undergoing major renovations, photos from April show.

The construction is significant, marking the second time authorities have upgraded the station in less than six months, and comes a year after sources said Pyongyang was proceeding with a metro expansion plan elsewhere in the city.
