As expected, North Korean television kicked off its Wednesday broadcast day with reports on Kim Jong Un’s first day in Hanoi.

Announcer Ri Chun Hee read an almost four-minute long report on Kim’s arrival at Dong Dang Station and the reception he got from Vietnamese government officials and local citizens.

This is also typical of the way North Korean propaganda works: focusing first on Kim Jong Un and what he did rather than why he did it. In this case, it’s for his summit on Thursday with Donald Trump.
