U.S. did not request sanctions exemption for South Korean presidential plane: ROK

Blue House denies reports Seoul risked breaching Executive Order 13810

The U.S. did not request that Seoul seek a sanctions exemption to allow South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s private plane to land on American soil, the ROK's Blue House and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said on Thursday.

The denial follows reports in the conservative Chosun Ilbo that President Moon’s Air Force One was granted an exemption before landing in U.S. territory following the fifth inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang.
