The UN’s Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) on Wednesday disbursed USD$3.28 million in “underfunded emergency” dollars to the UN International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), according to the CERF website.
The funds are listed under three different projects, with USD$1.52 million going towards “Life-saving interventions to reduce preventable mortality and morbidity among children [under 5 years old] and pregnant and lactating women” and USD$1.15 million going towards treating children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM).
