Taking advantage of the inter-Korean rapprochement following the Pyeongchang Olympics, members of the South Korean national security community have been active in multilateral outreach to various countries with stakes in the outcome of the Korea crisis.

Suh Hoon, chief of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service visited Japan, while National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong traveled to Beijing and later Moscow.
