South Korean marines conduct drills against North Korean border attack

ROK air force also conducts exercise simulating response to DPRK infiltration

The Republic of Korea Marine Corps (ROKMC) on Thursday wrapped up a three-day military drill near the western maritime border, in an exercise intended to prepare them for an “abrupt provocation” by North Korea against the South's frontline islands.

The North-West Islands Defense Command (NWIDC) reportedly “conducted a military exercise defending islands on Baengnyeong island.”
