Kim Jong Un supervises simulation of attack on South Korean islands

Targets were military headquarters on Yeonpyeong and Baengnyeong islands: KCNA

Kim Jong Un on Friday supervised a military drill of DPRK special forces simulating the “occupying” of two South Korean frontline islands, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Saturday.

The military exercise - described as a "target-striking contest of the special operation forces" by state media - was staged on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the Day of Songun, which falls on August 25.
