U.S., South Korea agree to hold June summit on North Korea

U.S. and ROK agree that dialogue with the North can be possible "under the right circumstances"

The U.S. and South Korea have agreed to hold a summit in Washington D.C. in late June and to seek "bold and practical" ways to resolve the North Korean issue, South Korea's presidential office announced on Tuesday.

The announcement came during a two-day visit to Seoul by a White House delegation led by Matt Pottinger, senior director for East Asia at the National Security Council (NSC), the first by a high-profile White House official since the inauguration of Moon Jae-in last week.
