The shared troubles of President Park and Hillary Clinton

The would-be President and Park Geun-hye have plenty in common - not all good

One significant detail about the U.S. presidential election and the ongoing South Korean political scandal has largely escaped the notice of most readers and viewers: that South Korea’s beleaguered President Park Geun-hye and the American front-runner Hillary Clinton have a lot in common in terms of the problems they share.

Just for starters, they’ve both been beholden to foundations for income from dubious sources. For Hillary, there’s the infamous Clinton Foundation, on the take from donors from the Middle East to Latin America to American big business - just about every source that’s willing to cough up money.
