North Korea’s Haedanghwa Service Complex has been renamed the Ryugyong Service Complex, a picture obtained by NK News shows.
The website of the Korea International Youth and Children’s Travel Company based in Pyongyang confirms this, listing the six-story building as the “Ryugyong Service Complex.”
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered his officials to change the name of Haedanghwa into Ryugyung in a bid to erase traces of his purged uncle Jang Song Thaek’s businesses, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported on August 23.
