North Korea deployed a Musudan (BM-25) intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) on its east coast, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported Tuesday.

According to Yonhap, an unnamed South Korean government official reported that South Korea detected the movement of a missile – likely a Musudan IRBM – on a transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) on North Korea’s coastal region near the Sea of Japan (known in Korea as the East Sea).

The official noted that no definitive signs of launch preparations have yet been detected. It is possible North Korea is preparing to conduct a launch on or around June 25, the 66th anniversary
