Officer from North Korean spy agency defects to South
RGB senior colonel reportedly worked in operations against South Korea, says MND
A senior colonel of North Korea’s Reconnaissance General Bureau defected to South Korea last year, South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense revealed Monday.
A spokesperson for the MND confirmed the defection in a press briefing in Seoul, but said they could not reveal personal information or concrete details. The spokesperson also could not reveal the time and method of the defection.
