Number of S. Koreans visiting North Korea increases sharply

South Korean citizens heading North Korea border jumps after August 25, most since 2010  

The number of South Korean visitors to North Korea more than tripled in 2015 compared to last year, according to data published by the Ministry of Unification (MoU) today.

From January to November 1,778 South Korean visitors headed north over the border. The figure excludes South Korean workers in the Kaesong Industrial Complex and those who took part in the recent family reunions.
