North Korean state media has criticized the US over a recent report released by US Congress on the CIA’s use of torture on suspected terrorists.

The acts of torture “violated the human rights of terror suspects” and was an “organized act of criminal human rights abuse” by American leaders, North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said, citing a South Korean newspaper report.

The US Senate Intelligence Committee last week released the results of a massive three and a half year investigation into the CIA’s use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
