Unlike other film festivals that often use artistic themes to dictate programming, PIFF’s “eternal” theme emphasizes the politics of peace and unity through cultural exchange. This year’s headline, which reads “independence, peace and friendship” and is pictured above multi-colored hands joined together, was featured on a flyer recently released by Rodong Sinmun.
