Son of abductee requests S. Korean approval for N. Korea trip

Head of association Hwang In-chul hopes North Korea trip can help answer questions

The representative of the association for family members of people kidnapped by North Korea in 1969 announced on Friday that he will request South Korea's Ministry of Unification approve a visit to North Korea, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Hwang In-chul, the head of association, said he is planning to visit the Red Cross of North Korea to find out if his father is alive or not. To that end, he said would ask the Ministry of Unification to allow him to go to North Korea.
