NK NEWS recently had the opportunity to meet with Dr. James Hoare and Professor Bruce Cumings for an extensive chat about their work on North Korea.

Both figures are well known in North Korea circles for their cutting edge work in two separate areas: Hoare was a former Ambassador and helped establish the UK's Pyongyang embassy in 2001, Cumings is a historian and has written a number of must-read books on North Korea and its history.
