The interim chief of the Belarusian Embassy in North Korea made his first public appearance in Pyongyang this week after the mission opened its doors and Belarus ratified a friendship and cooperation deal with the North.

Valery Bahdanouski, the Belarusian charge d’affaires, attended a sports event hosted by the Russian Embassy on Wednesday to mark Unity Day, a Russian national holiday, according to a social media post by the embassy that day.
