North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended an exhibition showcasing both new and old unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Thursday and called for “absolute superiority” in drone technology, describing it as an essential choice to meet the demands of modern warfare.

The “Unmanned Aviation Technology Development-2026” exhibition displayed various strategic and tactical multipurpose UAVs, suicide attack drones and other combat systems showcasing recent “achievements” in unmanned aviation technology, the ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported Friday.
