A North Korean film delegation has toured a Chinese company known for producing AI short-form videos and agents, potentially signaling Pyongyang’s interest in using artificial intelligence tools for films and video content.

The delegation toured the facilities of the Hunan-based SHARE Technology and expressed a “clear intention to cooperate,” according to a press release by the company on Monday. 

The company’s “core management and technical team” hosted the delegation, and the two sides held an “immersive tour and in-depth discussions” on using AI to drive innovation in the film industry.
