News North Korean GPS jamming along border has plummeted this year, data showsSeoul says jamming targeting South Korea has taken place on only 10 days this year, down from 248 in 2025
North Korea has significantly reduced GPS jamming targeting South Korea this year, according to ROK authorities, even as problems with the South’s GPS monitoring equipment have increased. An official from the Ministry of Science’s Central Radio Management Service (CRMS) confirmed the decline to NK News on Thursday but declined to say when the most recent GPS jamming incident occurred, citing security concerns. As of Sept. 14, the North’s GPS jamming targeting the South had been detected on only 10 days this year, compared with 248 days in 2025 and 78 days in 2024, according to a press release from the © Korea Risk Group.
