Russia has incorporated technology from North Korean ballistic missiles into weapons systems it is using against Ukraine, according to Kyiv.

Moscow has failed to “establish its own mass production of complex electronic components” and has to rely on “electronics of North Korean and Western origin,” Col. Oleksandr Zaruba of the Ukrainian military said at a briefing on Saturday.

Zaruba, the chief researcher at Kyiv’s State Scientific Research Institute of Armament and Military Equipment Testing and Certification, stressed that Russia has used parts and technical solutions from North Korea’s KN-23 missile in a bid to penetrate Ukraine’s missile defense systems,
