North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected a “newly commissioned nuclear material production plant” on Wednesday, according to state media, confirming the existence of a third facility enriching fuel to “exponentially” advance the country’s nuclear forces.

Accompanied by senior officials from the ruling party’s Munitions Industry Department and the Nuclear Weapons Institute, the North Korean leader toured the unnamed new facility featuring “more sophisticated technologies” and learned about its future production plans, the ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported Thursday.
