North Korea is looking to expand its cooperation with Russia-controlled regions of Donbas in Ukraine, a regional governor said after meeting the DPRK’s top envoy on Wednesday.

Governor Vladimir Saldo of the Russian-occupied Kherson region raised the possibility of exporting agricultural goods to North Korea in talks with Ambassador Sin Hong Chol, citing Pyongyang’s need for food supplies, according to his social media account.

“We see prospects not in talk but in real deliveries, such as vegetable oil, flour and processed food products,” he wrote. “The Korean side is interested in quality and stability.”
