Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay a two-day visit to North Korea starting Thursday, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday.

In a one-line statement distributed through the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the ministry said it invited Wang but did not provide details about the agenda for his visit.

A spokesperson for Beijing’s Foreign Ministry similarly announced Wang’s visit during a daily press conference on Wednesday, China’s official Xinhua News Agency reported, without providing additional information.
