The North Korean men’s national soccer team is visiting China for a winter training tour that has included friendly matches with local clubs and trips to training facilities, according to social media posts and local sports organizers.

The DPRK team began its trip on Jan. 10, starting in the central Chinese city of Chongqing before traveling south to the cities of Kunming and then Haikou. Match notices, short video clips and photos shared by Chinese soccer clubs suggest that the North Korean team has moved quickly between cities and facilities.

Kunming and Haikou are notable for their favorable winter conditions.
