A Singapore court has fined a shipping service employee for helping a local company supply spirits and soft drinks worth almost half a million dollars to North Korea in violation of domestic laws.

The island nation’s State Court imposed a fine of around $2,600 (3,500 Singapore dollars) on Tuesday against Koh Poh Choo, a shipping manager at Skyline Shipping, after she pleaded guilty to one charge of helping Eluva International deliver luxury items to a North Korean recipient, with five related charges linked to her plea.
