But Gallup Korea survey also finds majority support ROK loudspeaker broadcasts, viewing DPRK trash balloons as threat

Six out of 10 South Koreans believe the government should take action to prevent civilian groups from sending anti-regime leaflets to North Korea, according to a new survey by a major pollster, following Pyongyang’s launch of thousands of trash-carrying balloons in retaliation to such leafleting.

But the Gallup Korea survey of 1,000 adults nationwide also found broad support for the ROK government’s decision to resume propaganda loudspeaker broadcasts in response to the North Korean balloons, which a majority indicated they view as a threat.
