North Korea has threatened it will take military action against South Korea in response to ROK ships that cross the maritime border between the two countries. 

“The supreme military leadership of the DPRK on May 24 instructed its army to take offensive action against the enemy’s provocative encroachment upon the sovereignty of the DPRK,” North Korea’s Vice Minister of National Defence Kim Kang Il said in a statement released by the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) on Sunday.

The statement claimed that various warships of the “navy and the maritime police of the puppet ROK” are frequently crossing the maritime
