South Korea’s unification minister and a top U.S. human rights official will visit the site where North Korea once abducted high school students next month, as Seoul makes a push to draw attention to the DPRK’s past kidnapping of ROK nationals. Lee Shin-wha, ROK special envoy on North Korean human rights, made the announcement about the planned trip at a forum in Seoul on Friday, which saw ROK officials and human rights experts call for increased international efforts for the return of the abductees.
