The U.S. has slapped new sanctions on a Russian individual and three entities involved in the transfer and testing of North Korean ballistic missiles, after Moscow appeared to use the weapons against Ukraine in recent weeks.

In a press release on Thursday, the State Department announced new designations on:

• Vladimir Vladimirovich Mikheychik, general director of 224th Flight Unit State Airlines;
• 224th Flight Unit State Airlines;
• Vladimirovka Advanced Weapons and Research Complex;
• and the Ashuluk Firing Range.
