North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) toward the East Sea (Sea of Japan) on Friday afternoon, according to South Korea’s military.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said the DPRK fired the missiles from Pyongyang’s Sunan area around 4:32 p.m. KST, and flew around 150 and 215 miles (250 and 350 km) respectively before landing in the sea. South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities are still analyzing the launches, the JCS press release added.
