The U.S. will push forward a U.N. Security Council (UNSC) resolution expected to introduce additional sanctions against North Korea this month, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. said Tuesday. 

“We have a resolution that is being discussed in the [UNSC] on the DPRK, and it is our plan to move forward with that resolution during this month,” Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said during a press conference in New York.

“We’re very concerned about the situation there,” she added, pointing to what she called the DPRK’s “numerous violations of Security Council Resolutions.”
