At the end of August/beginning of September, I attended a number of events in Tokyo.

I used the opportunity to meet with a number of Japanese politicians, experts, and journalists to find out what they think about the current situation in and around the Korean peninsula, as well as about the likely direction of Japanese policy toward North Korea.

In briefing NK News readers about what I learned during this time, I will not name names for obvious reasons: a lot of my interlocutors are well-known and prominent in Japanese politics and/or academia.
