A “minor” misjudgment by North Korea — including a satellite launch from the Tongchang-ri test site — could lead to a “catastrophic” situation, a senior advisor to South Korea’s Blue House warned on Tuesday. 

Speaking at a press conference in Seoul, special advisor to the South Korean President Moon Chung-in urged both the U.S. and the DPRK to avoid an escalation of tensions in the aftermath of last month’s failed summit in Hanoi.

Discussing recent satellite imagery showing ongoing reconstruction at the Sohae Satellite Launch Facility in Tongchang-ri— which many have interpreted as representing North Korea preparing for a test
