North Korea on Tuesday returned a South Korean national who illegally entered its territory last month, the Ministry of Unification (MOU) announced.

Seoul said the national, whose surname has been revealed to be Suh, crossed from the North Korean side at 1100 local time at the truce village of Panmunjom.

The Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK notified Seoul of its plans to repatriate the ROK citizen through a statement on Monday, the MOU said.
