United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on North Korea should be “faithfully implemented” until Pyongyang takes “concrete action on complete denuclearization,” South Korea’s foreign minister said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a news conference in Seoul, Kang Kyung-wha said the ROK expects to “see concrete action by North Korea to live up to its complete denuclearization commitment in return for guarantees of its security.”

South Korea’s top diplomat also said the sanctions on the North “will remain in place” until concerned parties can ensure that complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula has been fulfilled.
